Mary DeLoatche Obituary

Mary Anna DeLoatche NEWSOMS - Mary Anna Blow DeLoatche, 81, died peacefully as she lived in her home of 65 years in Newsoms, Va., July 13, 2009. Mrs. DeLoatche was born May 24, 1928, in Franklin, Va., to the late Rueben Blow and Mae Falcoun Blow. She was a lifelong member of Hickory Grove AME Zion where she was a devoted member of the gospel choir. She was predeceased by her husband, James Horace DeLoatche; one brother, George Washington Blow; and grandson, Julius L. DeLoatche. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mary Alice Goode (David) of Virginia Beach; two sons, the Rev. James L. DeLoatche (Relma) of Peoria, Ill., and William George DeLoatche (Laura) of Hopewell, Va.; a loving brother, Johnel Blow (Louise) of Franklin, Va.; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Saturday, July 18, at 1 p.m. in Hickory Grove AME Zion Church, Franklin, with Dr. A.A. Parsons presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Church cemetery, Newsoms. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge.

To the Deloatche Family
My prayers are with you as you go threw this difficult time.I could always remember seeing your love one singing in the choir when I came home to visit for service. It is never easy to lose a love one, just know it is God who gives us the strength we need to endure. As you go always remember the fond memories which is embedded within your heart.We can never put a question mark where God has put a period.
