Ardessa Mitchell Obituary

Ardessa Adeline Mitchell CHESAPEAKE - On Aug. 8, 2009, our beloved Ardessa Adeline Mitchell passed away. Ardessa was born in Norfolk County to the late Tom Mitchell and Jerma Harper Mitchell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as a missionary and was a member of the Senior Choir. She was also a member of the Floral Club and Golden Age Senior Group. Leaving to cherish her precious memory are three sisters, Emma Nixon, Mattie Nichols and Lula Mitchell; two brothers, James Mitchell and Thomas Mitchell Sr. (Ethel); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and her extended family: Livermans, Nixs, and Curlings. A funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. in Bethel Baptist Church, 3841 Bunch Walnuts Road, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.fitchettfuneralhome.com. Danielle Fitchett Mann, funeral director.

Ardessa was a most special lady. She was always extremely gracious, kind, and loving to me and my family. She will be greatly missed, but I know she will be there to greet me at the gate!
