I just heard the news of Aunt Edith's passing and wanted to extend my deepest sympathies. I have many fond memories of family vacations in VA and Nags Head.
I pray you all find comfort in your memories, the love that you shared and knowing her spirit lives on.

Thank you for being a mother to me most of my adult life. I knew I could get your helpful advice on raising my children and life's everyday problems; but most of all I will remember how we loved each other with all of our hearts. I will miss you every day.

We had a wonderful grandma;
One who never seemed to grow old.
Her smile was made of sunshine;
And her heart was made of gold.
Her eyes were bright as shinning stars;
And her cheeks fair roses you’ll see.
We had a wonderful grandmother;
And that’s the way it will always be.
But take head because;
She’s still keeping an eye on all of us.
She’s a special grandma;
And in our hearts, she will remain.
We Love You Grandma!

Words cannot begin to express the depth of the love and gratitude I will always feel for you, Edith. You were my first friend when I came here, and, in so many ways, my mentor and my best friend. You gave me so much with your gentle guidance, your loving ways, your joyful humor, your wonderful open arms and always a fresh pot of coffee. As a young mom, I learned so much from you, Edith, through scouting, and camping, and singing and Godly acceptance of others. God bless you, Edith and thank you for being in my life.
