William T. Finn Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - William Thomas "Bill" Finn Jr., 76, of Calash Way, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009. Born Dec. 3, 1932, in Baltimore, he attended Calvert Hall in Baltimore and graduated from the University of Baltimore with Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Bill retired as a district sales manager for Connors Steel of Birmingham, Ala. His memberships include St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Father Habets Council No. 4632, and Ancient Order of Hibernians. He enjoyed sports and had coached Lynnhaven Little League baseball and basketball for 10 years. Bill was the son of the late William Thomas Finn Sr. and Dorothy Virginia Finn. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Finn; Charlotte O'Leary Finn, his previous wife of 40 years and mother of their five children; son-in-law, John G. Ray; and granddaughter, Madison A. Ryan. Bill is survived by his current wife, P. Lorene Finn and her children Steven and John Trimble; five children, Mary Suzanne Gretz and her children Ashley, David Scott and Matthew, William T. Finn III (wife Laura) and their children Sara and Ryan, Timothy M. Finn (wife Julie) and their children Amanda and Abigail, Amy Finn Ryan (husband Dan Jr.) and their children Morgan and Madelyn, and Lisa F. Ray. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, Monday, Aug. 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
