My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss. It was truly an honor to have known Andy. To my regret it has been many years since I have last spoken with him but he is remembered as one of my greatest childhood friends. He had a great heart; he was very selfless and would have given the shirt off his back to help those he cared about. All qualities he undoubtedly shared with his mother. Andy was one of the most talented people I have ever known; he truly had a great imagination and gift at drawing. After hearing of the loss of my old friend I began looking through some of the old things that I have collected over the years. I discovered an entry in my yearbook, one that I had long forgotten. In his entry he wrote “CARPE DIEM” (Seize the Day) and went on to write “live today like it your last, for tomorrow is never promised“I think no one knew this better than Andy. I have many fond memories of the times we spent together, I remember he had a contagious laugh and always smiled; qualities that will surely be missed. I pray that his memory will live on in each one of us. He will truly be missed!
