Theodore Dwight Obituary

Theodore Dwight Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Theodore Dwight Jr., 80, of the 1100 block of E. Jamal Lane, died Oct. 9, 2009. He was a native of Philadelphia and retired as a supply store keeper from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and received an associate of arts degree in music and management. Survivors include his wife, Eliza Rigby Dwight; one daughter, Dr. Arlene Gibson; one son, Eugene Dwight; four grandchildren, Deshawn Dwight, Kharon Dwight, Latoya Dwight and Myles Greene; and eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters-in-law, Bertha Williams (John) and Alin F. Rigby; two brothers-in-law, Ray Rigby and Herman Rigby; a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Leo Whitaker presiding. Burial will follow in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge. Visitation will be held today, Oct. 13, from noon to 8 p.m.
