Christine Butler Obituary

Christine A. Butler VIRGINIA BEACH - Christine Ann Butler, born Sept. 15, 1970, in Shawnee, Kan., peacefully left this life in the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at home in the loving care of her mother and Aunt Bonnie. While her life may have been of short duration, every moment was filled full of love, caring and generosity. Christine was a devoted Christian who did everything she could for everyone she met, and will be sorely missed by all. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her including: her parents, Karla and Tom Tomlinson of Prairie Village, Kan.; two brothers, Dan Butler and Clint Tomlinson and his wife Katie, all of Overland Park, Kan.; a stepbrother, KC Tomlinson and his wife Jami of Eudora, Kan.; a stepsister, Melissa Tomlinson of Lawrence, Kan.; her grandparents, Katie and Claude Cowart of Overland Park; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and seemingly countless friends, fellow parishioners, and associates in the Virginia Beach area. Her family would like to extend their unending gratitude to those friends who have helped them through the last couple months, weeks and days. Christine's life will be remembered, cherished and celebrated Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Norfolk located at 312 Kempsville Road, Norfolk. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater assisted the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.candfservices.com.
