Rose Archibald Obituary

Rose M. Archibald CHESAPEAKE - Rose Marie Archibald, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 8, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Steve and Margaret Harbaugh Svetoivanec. She had lived for many years in Mesa, Ariz., before moving to Chesapeake. She was a loving wife, mother and a friend to all, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, William; her daughter, Rebecca Jeane Archibald of Chesapeake; also surviving are her brother, William L. Grey and his wife Janet of Lancaster, Ohio. The memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The Rev. Charles Moseley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Rose Marie's honor to The Christian Children's Fund, Richmond, Va., (800) 776-6767. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
