Charlotte Futrell Obituary

Charlotte Ann Futrell PORTSMOUTH - Charlotte Ann Miller Futrell, 64, passed away Nov. 9, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her father, Harvey W. Miller Sr. and husband, Sonny Futrell. Charlotte grew up in Portsmouth and attended Cradock High School. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. She worked several years at the G.E. Plant, Portsmouth Public Schools and later retired from J.C. Penney. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Louise James Miller; two daughters, Tammy Conklin and husband Jimmy of Chesapeake and Susan Briggs and husband Eric of Portsmouth; a sister, Mary Logwood and husband Ray of Chesapeake; two brothers, Harvey Miller Jr. and wife Theresa of Concord, Va., and Raymond Miller and wife Mary Lynn of Grandview, Idaho; four grandchildren, Christopher VanOrden and Leslie of Chesapeake, Brandy Isenhour and husband David of Alabama, Eric Briggs and Ryann Briggs, three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. www.sturtevantfuneralhome.com.
