Charlie and I were close enough in seniority at work, to never fly together. However, that was no obstacle to his extension of friendship and comraderie to me and many others.

To The Lane Family;
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie. I knew him many years ago at Aeromech Airlines. He was a wonderful guy with a great sense of humour. I know he will be missed by all who were close to him. My wife Mary Ann and I will keep Charlie in our thoughts and prayers the weekend. God Bless all of you.

Charlie and I were in the same new-hire class back in 1981. This is indeed very sad news and a great loss for all of us who knew him. May there be wind beneath his wings now and forever.
