Betty J. Palmer
of Binghamton
Betty J. Palmer, 82, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred S. Palmer; her mother, Vera and stepfather, Al Zuklia; and her daughter, Charlene Robinson. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Lee and June Palmer; two grandchildren, Kelly Palmer and John Ewing, all of Binghamton; and her son-in-law, Richard Robinson, Carson City, Nev. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church. Betty was the co-owner of McCormick Paint & Wallpaper and an active member of the National Tole & Decorative Painters. She attended national conventions and studied under several renowned Tole Painter artists.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Christ Episcopal Church, 10 Henry St., Binghamton with the Very Rev. John Martinichio officiating. Inurnment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at Christ Episcopal Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. I met your mother at the Lourdes bereavement meetings in 2000 and we continued with that group "Sunday Beginnings" for several years. She was a great lady and we will miss her. My prayers are with you in your time of sadness.
