Anna Mae Glezen
of Vestal
Anna Mae Glezen, 87, a former resident of South Glens Falls, went to be in the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Castle Gardens Living Center in Vestal, N.Y. She was born on November 17, 1920 in Ticonderoga, N.Y. and was the daughter of Edward and Florence (Denesha) Barber. Anna Mae was a devout Catholic who never let a day pass without saying her Rosary. She loved to dance, golf and sew, but most of all she loved her dear family and friends. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her first husband, Gilbert Bacon; and also her second husband, Reginald Glezen; one sister, Ceciel Hartman; nephew, James Green; and brother-in-law, Vernon Green. She is survived by her son, Douglas Bacon and his wife, Debbie, Ft. Edward; daughter, Judy Phelps, South Glens Falls; granddaughters, Debbie Phelps and her husband, Joseph Longo, Endicott, N.Y., Cherie Worthy and her husband, Trey, Alabama, and Sarah Conklin and her husband, Don, Corinth. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence (Bud) Barber and his wife, Delores, Ticonderoga; one sister, Florence (Sis) Green, South Glens Falls; and two step-daughters, Kathy Zentz and her husband, Kraig, Endicott, N.Y. and Buffy Bettencourt, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, at St. Michael the Archangel Church in South Glens Falls. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, N.Y. 12803. The family of Anna Mae would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful loving staff of Castle Gardens Living Center, Lourdes Hospice, Jennifer and the two Jodies, for their tender care during her last days. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send a remembrance in her name to the American Cancer Society, 959 Route 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, N.Y. 12804.
