Kenneth L. Prince
of Cadis, Pa.
Kenneth L. Prince, 92, a lifelong and well-respected resident of Cadis, Pa., passed away at his home on Friday, July 25, 2008. Ken was born on April 6th, 1916 at home in Cadis, a son of the late Myron Leon and Genevieve H. (Dewing) Prince. He attended school until the 8th grade in Cadis and was a graduate of Warren Center High School, class of 1933. Following high school, Ken began his farming career and continued to operate the 4th generation dairy farm. He was a charter member of the Warren Township Volunteer Fire Company, where he served as Secretary for 21 years. In addition, he was Fire Warden for over 45 years, served as Justice and Notary for over 50 years to the community. Ken enjoyed hunting, music, and many will remember him as "Grandpa Jones" in the annual Hee Haw Show. He will be greatly missed by his community and fellow farmers. Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary (Sibley) Prince; daughter, Esther Prince, both at home; sisters and brother-in-law, Eloise Newman, Warren Center, Pa., Ochlee and Tom Lee, Cadis, Pa., Mary Demler, St. Petersburg, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Luann Prince; and a brother, Joseph A. Prince.
Funeral services for Ken will be held on Monday, July 28th, at 2 p.m. at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Interment will follow in the Nichols Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel and on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2. Those who wish may kindly consider a memorial contribution to the Warren Center Township Vol. Fire Dept., c/o Mr. Paul F. Moran, Jr., Secretary, RR 2, Box 406, Rome, Pa. 18837, in loving memory of Kenneth L. Prince.

My heart breaks...for the loss of this awesome man!! I had the honor of knowing Mr Prince as a dear friend...who always came in with a smile & shared his life with me. A pleasure to have known him. My wish for his family is comfort during this time...the love that he has left you with & the memories ~ may they hold you tight when you may need it the most! Mr Prince will be missed beyond words!
