Fred Sedlacek Obituary

Fred Sedlacek
of Port Crane, N.Y.
Fred Sedlacek, born September 8, 1918, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 7, 2008. He was predeceased by his parents, Josef and Agnesa Sedlacek. He is survived by his twin sister, Mary; and his brother, Rudolph, both of Port Crane. Fred was employed by Zabadal Bros. of Binghamton for over 40 years. Along with his father and brother, he founded two family businesses: Sedlacek and Sons Construction, and the Grapette and Sanitaria Springs Beverage Company. Fred was a veteran of WWII, where he served as a fleet mechanic.
There will be no viewing hours as these were Fred's wishes. Burial will be in Spring Forest Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Hopler Funeral Home.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
