Barbara A. Sherwood
of Endwell
Barbara A. Sherwood, 87, of Endwell, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Tuesday, September 16, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh "Mac" Sherwood in March; and a niece, Kathleen Jones. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Jones, Endwell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and David Griscom, Florida; a nephew, Rodger Jones, Somerville, Mass.; two great nieces, Stacey and Aimee Bederka. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Endwell and a retired IBM Corp. employee and a member of its Quarter Century Club. Some of her memberships included the Binghamton Country Club and the Binghamton Club. Barbara was an avid gardener, Bridge player and enjoyed summers at her cottage. Barbara's family would like to thank the staff at the ICU Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, for all the care and compassion shown to her during her stay there.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I learned a great deal of knowlegde from Barbara. She always gave it to me straight with no apologies. She was a good client and more importantly a great friend. I know Barbara is with Mac now and will no longer have to suffer. I express my deepest sympathies.
