Mario Bucci Obituary
of Endicott
Mario Bucci, 76, of Endicott, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Patsy and Nicolina Bucci. He is survived by his cousin, Antonio Cirino, Leonia, N.J. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott. Mario was a devout Catholic and enjoyed the opera, reading and the NY Giants. He had many friends that he would meet in many locations for lunch or just coffee and conversation. He will be sadly missed by many.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Ave., Endicott. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Anthony's Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Anthony's Learning Center, 906 Jenkins St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760. Arrangements are by the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc.

I've known Mario since we were children growing up only a block apart. We went through the same experiences at George W. Johnson Elementary School, HBE Junior High, and UE High School. I saw him at almost every reunion of our high school class (UEHS 1950). I will miss him.
My sympathy to his many friends and surviving relatives.

Mario was so cute! He seemed to always know what was going on "on the block" (300 Squires & beyond!). If someone left a package on my porch he would be the first to know & inform me...he lived about 5 houses down!! =) The kids on the block had a great deal of respect for Mario & he cared for them & their safety as well - especially when it came to the rusty car! May you rest in peace Mr. Bucci. You will be greatly missed "on the block". Sincerely, ~The Arroyo Family
