Jean Keppeler
of Zephyrhills, Fla.,
formerly of Johnson City
Jean Keppeler of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Johnson City, N.Y., passed away October 7, 2008. She was a retired nursing supervisor and a former leader of Cursillo. She was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society, past President of the Ladies of Columbus and served as a Commissioned Lay Minister at Blessed Sacrament Church in Johnson City, N.Y. for many years. She was most recently a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Tampa and the Pasco County Sheriff's Citizens Academy Alumni Association. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Hans; sisters, Marie Bokol and Elizabeth (Lawrence) Almy; niece, Helen Almy; sister-in-law, Mary (John) McGlynn. Survivors include one daughter, Judith of Zephyrhills; one son, James (Patricia) of Tampa; grandchildren, Saul and Seth Morse, Kyla (Brad) Boyd, Suzanne (Christopher) McBride, Christopher and Thomas Keppeler; beloved great-grandson, Nicholas Boyd; brother, John McGlynn; brother-in-law, Lawrence Almy; cousin, Mary Therese McGlynn; several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, October 9th, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 SR 54, Zephyrhills, Fla. 33541. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Tampa. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
