Karen, Jason, Ryan and Kevin --

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jeff was very special -- warm, kind, funny, intelligent. I wish I could find the words to ease the heartbreak you must be feeling right now. Please know that you are all close to my heart and in my prayers at this most difficult time.

Karen & family,
Barb and I were shocked when Julie called and left the message about Jeff. From reading the other postings in the guest book it seems as if Jeff had continued to be the same person I have known since we met in fourth grade.
You and the boys are in our thoughts and I'm sure that Jeff and Rick Smith are together again as more of us from Alpha Chi leave this world and meet in the next.

To Jeff's family,

My name is Tim Thomas, and I work for Lockheed Martin at Owego. I worked often with Jeff on a variety of occasions and issues, but something was predictably consistent throughout all matters and circumstances - Jeff's remarkable integrity, courtesy, humility, and refreshing sense of humor.

He will be greatly missed by all he touched with his extraordinary kindness and character.

May God bless his soul, and may God bless you,
TimTom

To Jeff's Family,

I am truly sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Jeff was a special person, one of the "good" guys I had the pleasure of working with for many years in Owego. He was so kind and so funny. I am an Ohio State University football fan and Michigan is Ohio's rival. Every Friday and Monday on a game weekend, Jeff would always hum the Michigan fight song as a joke whenever we passed each other. His amazing sense of humor brightened every day.

He was a remarkable person and one who deserved the highest respect.

To the Tyreman family: I was truly shocked to hear of the sad news of Jeff's passing. I worked with him at DCMA in Owego for many years and was very fond of him. He was a class act and will be missed by those who knew and worked with him.

Though I only worked with Jeff for a couple of years at DCMA-Owego, I knew him to be a dedicated worker and very helpful. I remember last running into him at the last B. C. Open, and you could tell he was in his comfort zone there-all smiles. My family and I send our thoughts and prayers to Jeff's family and so sorry for your loss.

Our family met Jeff and Karen through our son Alex, he and Kevin have been friends for years. In getting to know Kevin we began to know Jeff, kind, funny, intelligent, giving, gentle, loved and respected by his family. We are honored to have been able to know him. He will live on through his family forever. When something as tragic as this happens there are no words that can take the pain away. There is so little that we can do to help in such a helpless situation, but know that we are here for you, any thing you need, just call.

Kevin- I wish I could take your heart break away. You have always been so good to me. Please know I am always here for you. Keep strong. Love, "Cath"

As a lifelong friend of Jeff's middle son, Ryan, my deepest and truest sympathy goes to the whole Tyreman family. I always feel that how a young man turns out is a reflection of his father. To that end, Jeff, much like his sons, was an interesting, kindly, and class act person. May the Lord keep his soul and bless his family and friends.

Jim and I could not have asked for a better son-in-law. He was always respectful, supportive and a solid family man. A welcome presence at any get-together, Jeff could be counted on to bring fun and laughter to the gathering. He will be sorely missed.

I was just eight years old when I met Jeff. Although I was a young girl, I’d already realized how important Jeff was to my sister, Karen. As I grew up, it was clear to me how important Jeff was to us all and how fortunate we were to have him in our lives. Jeff was the brother I never had and a wonderful uncle to Justin, Alison and Brennan. He was intelligent, witty, loving, thoughtful and supportive. When I affectionately referred to him as, “My Favorite Man,” I meant it from the bottom of my heart. He had a unique ability of balancing humor with every aspect of life. Yet, his humor often had a purpose beyond humor. Even through tough times, he managed to find a bright spot.

I’ll cherish many memories and will celebrate the wonderful attributes he instilled in his three sons. As always, no pun will go unnoticed without a smile in memory of Jeff. We will remember great times from holidays, birthdays and, of course, our infamous Mexican Nights. The world is a better place because of Jeff, and I’m so grateful for being given the opportunity to know him. We've all lost a wonderful friend.

As Karen knows, I feel as tho I have known Jeff my entire life. To me, he was always more like a brother than an in-law. Jeff was a uniquely gifted person in so many ways (as are his wife and his 3 sons), and I could always count on him for a funny zinger or pun, or a thorough answer to any fact question. People say this alot when someone wonderful passes on, but Jeff is someone who truly will be missed, yet the world is such a better place because of his presence here. I feel cheated by his premature passing, as we had so many more Trivial Pursuit games to play (all of which I would have lost to him) and many more historic landmarks to see. But I'm blessed by the privilege to have known him for almost 40 years. Jeff--I'm so, so sorry that you're gone, but I'll see you again someday. Karen, Jason, Ryan and Kevin--keep in mind, through this difficult, impossible, unreal time, that you are so fortunate to be people who are and were loved by Jeff. That love will endure forever.

Karen, Jason, Ryan, & Kevin,
So sorry to hear about your loss. May God be with you all and help you heal your sorrow. We didn't know Jeff very well, but we sure knew and loved his father "Pete" very well. What a wonderful man he was. I'm sure they are having a grand time now that they are together again.
God Bless and Keep You,

Dear Karen and Kids,

I was very upset to hear that Jeffrey left so suddenly. I am so sorry.
The office was very quiet this morning. People are trying to assimilate was has happened.
I always enjoyed talking with Jeff. We shared a lot of opinions and views. And, he was funny.
I peeked in his office to say goodbye.
In the days to come, I hope you and the boys can heal.
Bless you.
