Max Frederick Welch, Sr.
formerly of
Great Bend, Pa.
Max Frederick Welch, Sr., 73, formerly of Great Bend, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Barnes-Kasson Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Pearl E. Welch on December 8, 2008 and was the son of the late Max Woodrow and Gladys Felton Welch. He is survived by his son, Max Fred and Joanne Welch Jr., Harpursville, N.Y.; a stepson, Raymond and Beatrice Henaghan, Binghamton, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Rose Sherwood, Apalachin, N.Y.; one brother, Richard and Judy Welch, Hallstead, Pa.; one sister, Anita Dribnack, Great Bend, Pa.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Lena Turboss. Fred was employed for Joe's Disposal Service for many years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, Pa. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility Memorial Fund, 400 Turnpike Street, Susquehanna, Pa. 18847.
