Britton Cannon Obituary
of Port Crane
Funeral services for Britton D. Cannon will be held Friday at 12 Noon at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with Deacon Lorena Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Port Crane Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Tonya, Shane, Steve, Tammy, Terry, Joey, and Amanda. We are sorry for your loss Britton will be missed by all who knew and loved him but he just couldn't fight no more. God had better plan's for him. You might not want to admit it now but he's in a better place now and not in no more pain. He's up there taking care of his mom. Keep his memory alive like you do with your mom's. We are so sorry for your loss Britton was a good kind hearted person and did not deserve this but he was sick of fighting and god had better plans for him and hes now up there in heaven taking care of your mother or the other way around .you all will be in our thoughts and prayers and try to stay strong for yourselves and your family and keep his memory alive just like you do for your mother. This is very hard for me, because i still can't believe your gone. I don't want to believe your gone. I would rather be talkin face to face, but i will have that chance soon enough. Your body may be gone but your spirit still remain's with those who loved and cared for you. I would rather believe that you remain among your family and friend's then not feel you at all! I will alway's love you no matter what and cary your love for me deep in my heart. I miss you so much but i know you are safe in heaven waiting for your family and friend's to come together with you. As you lay there helpless.
alway's in so much pain.
I couldn't help you and your
strength you couldn't gain.
You fought your battle
for as long as you could.
Life was flashing by but,
deep down I think you knew it would.
I wish i could've helped you.
I wish i could've taken all your
pain away.
I wish it was all a bad dream but,
i knew it wasn't .
When that bad day came.
When that horrible day came at us fast.
Holding on and trying to keep
you here.
Didn't seem to last.
I held on to you.
until i couldn't know more.
That day at the hospital
my heart hit the floor.
Everyone try's to help.
tryin to make me feel better,
because you went away.
but none of there word's can help me.
no matter what they say.
When the day came and,
i really had to say goodbye.
I tried to be strong but, all i did was held you and, cried.
When we pulled in to the
cemetaryto say our final goodbye's.
As i pulled up to the plot.
My heart hit the floor again and,
all i could do is cry.
MY prayer's came true
as we layed you to rest
beside our mother which i thought
that was the best.
I promise my thought's of you
will never go away.
I must now say goodbye
looking up high.
knowing that your peaceful,
painfree with grandma, (mom) as an
Angel in the sky.

I hate that you had to go it really suck's
but at least i know your not alone.
I lost grandma last year. She was my best friend my mom and grandma all in one and i know you to had your problems' which i'm so glad at the end you to made peace. So i know that when i had to loose another VERY VERY important person in my life which was you i know she was there holding her arm's wide open helping you through. I will be with you again that i know is true, so make sure when i'm on my way you too are there waiting for me. Until then i know your both still here with me and this i definitly know is true!! Until i see you again i will alway's be thinking of both of you. When i get married you better still be on my arm as my father that you are walking me down the isle. Remember you PROMISED!!!!! I LOVE YOU FOREVER UNCLE BRITT (DAD)!

Shane I am so sorry to hear about Brittan. I havent seen him since I left pine St 20 yrs ago but I never forgot him. We had crazy fun and escaped crazy amounts of trouble. He gets to see Eddie before any of the rest of us I hope he remembers to say hello. He is going to a better place he has your mom and my mom and dad. I am sure theres lots of others who will watch over him now. He has fought for so long and so hard he truly was a great person and will be greatly missed. When I got your phone call my heart sank and I couldnt talk for a little bit. It was a shock I am truly sorry. I wish you the best and if you ever need to talk I am here and now you have my number too.

Brit was one of our childhood neibhors who quickly became part of our family. Over the years seeing less and less of each other we lost contact. I would see brit in passing and as we would chat awhile we'd find our self talking as if no time had passed at all.No matter how sick he was he always made me smile,not talking about how bad things where for him.I will regret not making time for him as I loved him like my brother. We didn't get to say goodbye. When the lord took you away. We know you were in pain every single day. It's hard to say goodbye. It's sad to see you go. We will alway's miss you. This i'm sure you'll alway's know. We know your in a better place and pain free. But this is still hard for us especially me. It's hard knowing that we won't see your face. But you're a special person and you know you can never be replaced. Britton was the best person i had as a father figure in my life. I heard the new's and dropped to the ground hoping and praying this was just a bad dream, and i would wake up. I am losing my uncle, my friend, and my father. Britton helped raise me he tried hard to guide me in the right direction and show me an easier path in life. Of course i didn't make it easy for him i fought him on everything and i alway's tried to be right. The loss of him isn't going to be easy for anyone Britton was a well loved man and anyone who knew him know's what i mean. He struggled way to long and fought hard for his life to be here with us. I just have to keep telling myself he isn't in pain any more and is in a better place waiting for his family to join him again some day. Britton was the most caring person in anyone's life and he will be greatly missed by me and everyone else that was lucky enough to know him and have him in there life's. We will never forget you and we know you'll alway's be by our side, until the day we're reunited in heaven once again. I love you UNCLE BRITT and i will miss you so much i will never stop thinking about you. You're in my heart for ever.
