Graveside Services for Meta Mendel will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Israel Riverside Cemetery, Conklin, N.Y. Rabbi Tziona Szajman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Binghamton Jewish Community Center, 500 Clubhouse Road, Vestal, N.Y. 13850; or Temple Israel, 4533 Deerfield Place, Vestal, N.Y. 13850. Ernest H. Parsons

Dear Mendel family,
I'm sorry that i found this 15 years after your mom and grandmother passed. I knew her from when I worked for Dr. Mendel in the mid 1960s. She would weekly prepare a big dinner once a week , and often invite us to participate. Delicious, yes! But I enjoyed her stories and laughter. Her wine-laced watermelon is still a funny memory. May her memory be a blessing! It is to me.

I was saddened to hear of Meta's passing. She was always a wonderful neighbor, friend of my parents and good to my children growing up. Fond memories of the "Get-Together- Club" for us all. Your Mom was always such a lady. Love to all of you.
