Viola Neily Jessen, 100 years old, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 11, 2007 in Lynchburg, VA where she had been a resident for 2 years. She had resided in Vestal, NY for 98 years before moving to Virginia. She was predeceased by her first husband, Martin Neily who died in 1986 and her second husband, Richard F. Jessen who died in 2004. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon and husband, Donald Lozier, Lynchburg, VA, and Pat and her husband, Jeff Edwards, Selmer, TN. Seven grandchildren, Dale and Kari Lozier, Vestal; Beth and Terri Sipantzi, Forest, VA; Tina and Mark Waldo, Brookneal, VA; Bonnie Barnnal, FL; Debbie Harvelle, MS; Dawn McMeeley, MS; Amy Hood, TN; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Charlotte Yetter, Apalachin, Virginia Hyatt, South Carolina; one nephew, Larry Brearley, Apalachin; one brother-in-law, Ronald Carpenter, Endwell; one sister-in-law, Hazel Shellhammer, Owego. Viola worked in the Vestal School District in the cafeteria for many years along with her husband, Martin who worked in the Transportation Dept. at Vestal Schools. She was very active in the Vestal Senior Citizens before moving to Virginia. Viola was a member of Memorial Park Baptist Church, Vestal.
A Memorial Service will held Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Baptist Church, Front St., Vestal.
