Timothy Czebiniak Obituary

Timothy Andrew Czebiniak
of Spencer, N.Y.
Tim Czebiniak of Spencer, N.Y., transcended to walk the blue road of spirit on Thursday, November 22, 2007, being greeted there by two of his best friends, John Vickers and Charlie Mann, and his dad, Andy Czebiniak. Continuing on the good red road of the physical to carry on his belief of "Harm none; do what ye will", are his anam cara and wife of 30 years, Lynn Capani-Czebiniak; son and joy of his life, Daniel Czebiniak; granddaughter, his Angel, Kietarah Raven Czebiniak Mancini; and other best friend, Jim Winterstein. Tim is also survived by his mother, Marie Czebiniak; and brother and sisters and their spouses and children, Sheila and Ed Ropp, Bill and Stacey Czebiniak, and Becky and Dave Cottle. Working as a meat manager and cutter at the Giant Market then at Price Chopper for many years, Tim went back to school and found his true calling in life at Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services in Ithaca as an alcohol and substance abuse counselor. He never stopped wanting to help other people and always said, "They will get sober in spite of us!" He particularly loved to work with people on relapse prevention and CARS will be dedicating their new area designated for this purpose to Tim. Tim's gentle spirit, generosity, childlike joy of his world, and unfailing kindness will be missed by a great many people, but his time had evidently come to move on to greater adventures. Now his soul flies with raptors he so loved and the family will be announcing, at their convenience, a party as he requested to remember Tim and how his life touched so many in his short 50 years on the planet.
Also, per his request, there will be no calling hours and cremation arrangements are being handled by Al DeMarco, longtime friend of the Capani family. In lieu of cut flowers, the family requests potted plants to be interspersed in the flower gardens my heart's blood loved so well. Donations may also be made, if desired, to Lourdes Hospice. We would like to especially thank Drs. Jeff Allerton, Ferguson, and Freiji, the nurses and the staff at the Guthrie Clinic for their help and support through this entire experience. Never have we been blessed with more sincere caring and support. You are courageous people to do the work you do and we honor you for that! Namaste...

I had the pleasure of knowing my friend Tim for over twenty years. We worked side by side for about ten of those twenty years, and even had the pleasure of going to college well after our hair had begun to recede and turn gray.
When Tim passed this year, it was the second time this year that I lost one of my best friends. My fondest memories of Tim and John are of the many projects of SHIM CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. I think a man is very lucky if he can have one good friend in his life. I have been truly blessed in that regard, because I have had two. I thank God for having been blessed to have had Tim for my friend. He was a kind, giving, loving and gentle man who retained his boyhood joy of life. My thoughts and prayers go to Lynn, Dan, Kitara and all those he loved and left behind.
"The Lord is good; for His mercy, tender kindness and steadfast love endures forever." Jeremiah 33:11

To our very dear friends Lynn and Dan,

Tim was such a gentle, kind hearted man with a special gift of genuinely caring and helping others. We feel truly blessed having known him for so many years. His friendly smile and good naturedness will sadly be missed. But we may also rejoice and be glad for the treasured memories. May God bless you. With love, Ellen and Harry

Tim, your humble smile, loving heart and gentle nature will be what we remember most. We were so blessed for knowing you and honored to be called your friends. That being said We offer this prayer;
From the dawn of your birth to the sunset of your death, we honor you.
From the missions you completed to your duties left undone, we honor you.
From the season of your being through the cycle of your life, we honor you.
From your time beyond the veil ‘Til your earth entrance back again
May the Angels support you
May Spirit surround you
May our healing love reach you
From this moment until the end of time.
‘Til we meet again.

To the family of Tim Czebiniak,
Sometimes in our professional career, we meet collegues or talk to people as a result of our job duties. These people come and go out of lives and sometimes, we don't give it a second thought.....not true with Tim. I had the pleasure of working with Tim in his capacity as a CAC and I found him to be "the best in his field". His sincerity and kindness were just two of his many qualities. He will be truly missed those of us who worked with him and I can only hope that I touch people in a even a fraction of the way that Tim did.

Lynn, We only met one time at my cousin Janet's at the women's gathering, However, you made a lasting impression on me. I left there thinking good thoughts. You talked so proudly of your husband. That It made me rethink how I was thinking of my relationship with my hubby of 20 years. You talked so stong of your beliefs. I only wish you the best. And hope to speak with you again soon. I hope your injury is well. Many Prayers from my family to yours!!!!! Love and God bless...

LOSS, one of the hardest things people have to face throughout their lives, there are never the right words, and never enough gestures to say how sorry you are to the family of the ones who have gone before us. One thing that I am learning is that no matter what we are going through you should always be grateful for what we were given. I am so grateful for the fact that my daughter had the chance to know her grandfather and to be so close to him. Most people don't get that and I know that she will always cherish her time with him. Tim was one of the most generous and wonderful grandfathers and she has had the last 10 years of her life to get to know him, and she has many wonderful stories and memories to hold on to. We are all so lucky to have had such a wonderful man in our lives. He wasn't just her grandfather, he was her friend, and somebody she always knew that she could turn to. Now, he is her ANGEL, and I know that she will always cherish, and remember poppop throughout her journey in life. So, Thank You Tim for being the best Poppop to my daughter, and a wonderful friend to my family. Lots of love always Krysti

I worked for a very short time with Tim at CARS. He was a wonderful man who always had made me feel welcome and a part of the staff. He was a person I could talk to and ask help of as I was starting out in the business of Addiction Recovery as that is what I am going to school for as a secondary passion to Methodist Minstry as an Ordained Pastor. He will be truly missed. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man.
