Beryl Crosby Obituary
of Afton, N.Y.
Beryl Crosby, 93, of Afton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 7, 2007, at her home. She was born February 18, 1914, daughter of the late William and Luella (Hill) Hendershot. Beryl married Donald Crosby on July 3, 1933 in Binghamton; he predeceased her on August 3, 1976. She was employed as an inspector when she retired from Amphenol Corp. in Sidney. She liked to spend time at the Harpursville Senior Center and was a snow bird. Beryl enjoyed going to Ft. Pierce, Fla., for the winter. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Esther and Carl Rowe, Afton, Jody and Ken Strong, Afton; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, David Michael Crosby; sister, Eva Cook; and brother, Bert Hendershot.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 12, 2007, from 10-11 a.m. at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Ann Linder officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Afton Emergency Squad. Arrangements by C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney.

God bless her my mom Florence Bates enjoyed her so much at the Senior center we lost our mom in April of this year and she and Beryl were one of a kind always active. Ken Strong her son in law was in my class in school. Its so hard to have your Mom gone and in heaven I believe but we all go on in this life that is so beautiful sincerely Barbara Bates Willis
