Margaret McKenna Obituary

McKENNA, MARGARET (GALLO), 95, formerly of Tropical Court, Warwick, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick. She was the wife of the late James F. McKenna and mother of the late Janice J. Angeloro.

Mrs. McKenna was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Matteo and Teresa (Grille) Gallo. She was employed at Apex and Jordan Marsh for many years.

She was a member of the Sparrow Point II Association and the Womens Youth League of RI.

She leaves a grandson, Charles W. Angeloro, Jr., a son-in-law Charles W. Angeloro, Sr., a sister Trieste Andrews of Southington, CT, a brother Timothy Gallo of Las Vegas, Nevada, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Cicerchia, Amelia Croteau, Helen Squadrito, Marco Gallo, and Romeo Gallo.

The funeral of Mrs. McKenna will be held Monday at 9:15am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday 8:15 to9:15am. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to VNA of Care New England Hospice Program, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Lincoln, RI 02865 would be appreciated. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org
