H. Bowden Obituary
Born in Providence, a son of the late Horace W. and M. Myrtle (Trainor) Bowden, he had lived in Warwick for the past 42 years. Mr. Bowden was a weather stripper and door installer for 40 years before retiring in 2003. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Warwick ELKS for 43 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves 1 son, Lt. Col. Horace W. Bowden III U.S. Army of Ft. Knox, KY; 1 daughter Cynthia L. Bowden of Warwick, 1 brother, Joseph Bowden of Warwick. 4 Grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arthur, James, and Walter Bowden.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue, Warwick at 10AM. Calling Hours Monday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Tomorrow Fund RI Hospital Campus 593 Eddy St. Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
