Dear Patience,
Jayne sent an e-mail to tell me about your mom. She was quite a lady, and influenced generations of kids who are now sharing her wisdom with their own families. I was just telling some friends about her fears for you as a little girl who "didn't know the days of the week" at school age. The ensuing dinner conversation cleared that up, as I recall! I also think of her every time I wear a mismatched pair of sneaker socks: "I have another pair just like them, at home!"
Hope this finds you at peace. Enjoy each day, and take care of each other.

Hi Patience, so sorry to hear about your mom. I have fond memories of her driving us up to the White Mountains of NH so we could hike and stay in the huts. Hope all is well with you.
