Al J. Lovegreen Sr.

LOVEGREEN, AL J., SR., 80, of Leisure Way, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at his home. He was the husband of Lou (Tougas) Lovegreen.

Mr. Lovegreen was born in Providence, a son of the late Axel I. and Marie B. (LaPlume) Lovegreen and had been a resident of Coventry for the past twenty-three years previously living in Warwick. He had worked for the Narragansett Electric Co. in the Right-of-Way Department for over forty years and retired as a Vice President in 1992. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul of the Apostles Church in Coventry, served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was an avid gardener and artist.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Martin Lovegreen of North Providence, Albert Lovegreen, Jr. and daughter-in-law Maria of North Providence, Peter M. Lovegreen and daughter-in-law Joanne of West Warwick, a daughter Ann Marie Choiniere and son-in-law Robert of Maine, stepdaughter Judy Bourassa and stepson-in-law Dennis of CT, stepson Robert Wilcox and stepdaughter-in-law Janice of Warwick, stepdaughter Luann Pierce and stepson-in-law Michael of Riverside, stepdaughter Lori Karlson and stepson-in-law Thomas of FL, sister Helen Osborn of Warwick, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and a step great grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick.
