Charlotte M. White

WHITE, CHARLOTTE M., 83, of 111 Sweetbriar Drive, died peacefully Sunday at Hospice of RI Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in the presence of her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Herbert White for 61 years.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis and Ida (Latt) Shenkow, she had lived in Cranston for 45 years. Charlotte worked with her husband in the jewelry industry for several years. She was a founding member of Temple Torat Yisrael. She was an avid golfer and a member of Potowomut Country Club for 35 years. She loved gardening and spending summers on Narragansett Beach.

Devoted mother of Bruce R. White of West Warwick and Randie White Bazar and her husband Joel of Cranston. Dear sister of Helene Groten of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Sara Shenkow of Richmond and the late Ethel Rose. Loving grandmother of Scott J. Goldman and Mitchell A. Goldman. Cherished aunt and great aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of RI or American Cancer Society. Shiva will be observed at her late residence Tuesday 7-9 and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
