Ed also taught me to play guitar at Dipipos. I took lessons from him for about 5 years. I formed a band called the Rocking Teens in Cranston. Saw him play with my dad one night at Else's Lodge. What a wonderful man. I now teach school and guitar.

I'm saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. He taught me to play guitar from 1965 to 1967. I still play daily.
I became an early childhood teacher, and I use the guitar in the classroom, singing with the kids and teaching them songs. I also let them strum my guitar as I form the chords. A number of my kids have started playing guitar, and their parents tell me it was because of this introduction.
Having become a teacher , I've grown to realize what an exceptional teacher Ed was. He was always and honestly concerned with the progress I was making, and very patient when I had trouble learning
something. I was very fortunate to have been a student of such a wonderful teacher.
To Ed's family, please accept my deepest condolances.

I sorry to hear of Ed passing. I met Ed 31 years ago, when I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. He was teaching at Di Pippo Music on the hill. I was a student of Ed's for about five or six year, until he move to Cranston. In that time Ed was a real good teacher, but more, he was a friend. He taught me the the wonders that is playing the guitar, and the beauty that is music. When I first went to Ed, all I wanted was to play rock and roll, i dislike all other music, I taught, but Ed taught me to appreciate all music, and till this day, some 31 years later, I still enjoy rock, country, and even classical. So enclosing I like to send out my sympathy to all Ed's family, and impress my thanks to Ed for all his inspiration.....PS...I think I'll pick up my guitar and play a song that Ed's taught me to play, on his behalf....STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN...
THANK YOU ED
