Louis Chartier Obituary

CHARTIER, LOUIS A. 'DEWEY', 94, of Main Street, died Saturday. He was the husband of the late Lillian M. (Goudreau) Chartier.

He is survived by a daughter, Pauline L. Gloria of Cumberland; a sister Eva A. Dube of Pawtucket; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Jeannette R. Reilly and the brother of the late Arthur H. Chartier.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in The Chapel of The Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at The Residence. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to the Little Sisters of The Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. My condolences to your family. I worked at the desk at Little Sisters for several years and always enjoyed your father"s many stories. My husband Normand would take him out to lunch and then a ride, until his illness took him from us. Your dad was a legend who had a great memory of things and took the time to share them. He will be missed but we were blessed to have know him.
