Rita Couto Obituary

COUTO, RITA E., 91 of Main St., died Saturday at Riverview Healthcare. She was the wife of the late Manual Couto. Her first husband was the late Patrick O'Neill.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Alfred Erickson and the late Eva (Lawson) Holden, she had lived in Providence for most of her life and in Cranston for five years before moving to Coventry in 2001.

She worked in the jewelry industry for several local companies including Trifari, Coro and Spiedel and had also worked at Rau Fastener before retiring in 1970.

She is survived by her son Ronald B. O'Neill and his wife Elaine of Cranston. She was the sister of Robert Erickson.

Funeral from the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Church St., West Warwick at 11:30. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Information and condolences at www.carpenterjenks.com.
