William Wagoner Obituary

WAGONER, WILLIAM W. 'BILLY', 53, of Smith Street, Riverside died peacefully on Sunday November 9, 2008, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the Philip Hulitar Impatient Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in North Kingstown, a son of the late Thomas E. and Dorothy E. (Rivers) Wagoner, he lived in Riverside for 16 years previously residing in Barrington for 28 years.

Mr. Wagoner was a bus driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for the past 5 years. Billy was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local #618. He enjoyed attending classic car shows and spending time with his family.

He is survived by a son; William W. Wagoner Jr. of Riverside, a brother; Thomas E. Wagoner of Riverside, a sister; Sharlene L. Damiani and her husband Michael of Riverside, a nephew; Michael Damiani, four nieces; Tracy Wagoner, Jessica Meneses, Jennifer and Christine Damiani and a companion; Elizabeth A. Mantoosh of Riverside.

His funeral will be held on Thursday November 13 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-8 pm. Contributions in Billy's memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860 would be deeply appreciated.
