Gail & Sonja...where do I begin. As tears roll down my face I thought this through and it's a lot harder than I thought it would be...Let me start by saying I thank God for my journey to have had your Mom and Dad be so instrumental in my life...through the days on Duncan Ave where I practically lived in their home to IBA where we had great fun...laughs, and then I had the great pleasure of sharing their time with them in VA.

My dearest memories for both was for most of my life, but my latest one was at the RI Annual Cookout -- God again played a role in placing that event in our hearts.

My last memory was the 2008 RI Cookout when I showed up by myself unloading my car and Mr. Mitchell so willingly coming to help me, and then I was trying to light the grill there he was again...I love them both through all the great memories that will always put a smile in my heart -- they were so dear to me.

We serve such an Awesome God that I am so blessed to have had my journey shared with such great people who meant so much to me...

Much Love...

Digit,
I miss you so much. Walking into that house doesn't feel the same at all. Every so often I will peak around the corner, to see if i can see your legs propped on your bed while you watch your t.v. But soon after reality kicks in and i realize your not there. It hurts so much knowing you and Aunt Anne aren't here. But my faith in God lets me know that being absent from the body is being present with the lord and i know you two are alright. I also know that you both are watching over us and that your memory and love is in all the lives that you've touched. As time goes on,wounds heal. I know it will take the family a while to adjust but we will get through it. I dont believe in saying goodbye. I will just take this as we will go for a while without seeing each other. I love you and miss you.

As your granddaughter I have so many memories. I really can't express how much this hurts. There are so many songs that remind me of you and it just brings me to tears. Our family is never going to be the same without you and my grandmother. I do thank God for the role model you were to the family which will carry on. May you both RIP.

Dear Sonja and Gail,
I was really saddened to learn of the loss of your father. He was truly a real good guy. He always had a way of brightening up the day with his humor, quick wit and smile. He and your mom will always be a part of my fond memories of growing up on Duncan Avenue. Please accept my deepest condolences.

To Gail and Sonja, I was saddened to read of Uncle Mitch, (as my children use to call him), passing. I remember him going into the Masons along with my husband John. It was a pleasure to be in his company. What laughs we had. We send our deepest condolences and prayers at this time. May he rest in peace.

Sonja and Gail,
I was saddened for you when I read of Mitch's homecoming. Having Mitch as a next door neighbor was a gift, the memories of him instantly bring a joy to one's face, he was so full of life and seemed to have let nothing trouble him! I feel confident in saying that 'everyone liked Mitch'! Even after all of these decades I sit here and smile as I think of Mitch and the laughter that he provided. I am sure you will deeply miss him but find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with his Savior!

Sonja, Gail, and families

I was saddened and hurt to hear that Mitch passed.

He was the type of person you just had to love; one of the coolest men I have ever been acquainted with.

We have seen Mitch more in the last 3 years than in the last 30. Most noteworthy were Charles Town, family gatherings, and the picnics.

We share your sorrow and know that he will rest in peace forever.

May God bless your families always.
