Frank Rawcliffe Obituary

RAWCLIFFE, FRANK, SR., 86, of Cranston St., Cranston, died on Saturday August 18, 2007 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of Sandra (Palmieri) Rawcliffe.

Born in Central Falls he was the son of the late James and Beatrice (Hartley) Rawcliffe. He was a WW II Marine Veteran. Mr. Rawcliffe received the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with four stars. He worked for Herff Jones of Providence as a foreman for 21 years until his retirement. Mr. Rawcliffe was the engraver for the Heisman Trophy.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children Frank Rawcliffe Jr. of Warwick, Karen Rotondo of Johnston, Kathy Spaulding of Smithfield, and Carol Ullrich of Cranston, a sister Beatrice Sanford of Tiverton and a brother Charles Rawcliffe of CA; 9 grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was the brother of the late James Rawcliffe.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by services in the Church of The Transfiguration, Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in R.I Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
