Joseph Rogers Obituary
He was the beloved husband of forty three years to Anna M. (Centracchio) Rogers and the late Helen (Lima) Rogers. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Manuel and Mary (Fernandes) Rogers. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Mr. Rogers was employed at PV Dye for 27 years and Stanley-Bostitch for 15 years before retiring in 1990. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a member of the West Warwick American Legion Post #2, a communicant of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed gardening and playing cribbage.
Besides his wife he leaves three sons, Michael Imbriglio of Fishers Island, NY, Angelo Imbriglio of Westfield, MA and Joseph T. Rogers, Jr. of Littleton, MA; three daughters, Marion Pelletier and Donna Sousa both of West Warwick and Donna Rogers of North Scituate; eight sisters, Alice Furtado, Mary Picard, Helen Caires, Del Luz, Josephine Hopkins, Theresa Holstein, Irene Hopkins, and Evelyn Cook; nineteen grandchildren, including Rev. Edward A. Sousa, Jr. and twenty three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rose Vierra, Tony and Raymond Rogers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm. in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. Sorry to hear of your loss, our extented family (related by my grandmother Maria Pimental of East Main St.)continues to loose it's senior members making us the new "old folks".
We should try to bring all of us together from all over the country from RI to our relatives in Hawaii in a great re-union of the clan before it's too late.
Be strong, be happy for the many years God gave to you and you father together.
