Fred Rocks Obituary

ROCKS, FRED 84 of Simmonsville Ave. formerly of Warwick passed away October 24, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital Hospice Care North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Helen L. (Leonardo) Rocks. Mr & Mrs Rocks have been married for 65 years.

Born in Cranston a son of the late Freddy and Marion (Miller) Rocks. Mr Rocks was a foreman and crane operator for the former United Wire Co.in Cranston for 36 years. He was an avid golfer and achieved two holes in one. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan . Mr Rocks was a WW II Army Veteran and received the purple heart. Besides his wife he is survived by several nieces and nephews and his caretaker William Sitko. His funeral and burial will be private. CALLING HOURS SUNDAY 2-5 p.m. in 'WOODLAWN' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Hospice Visiting Nurse Service 6 Blackstone Valley Pl.
