Born and raised in Traverse City, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Phoebe (Durga) Haywood.
Mrs. Corrado worked for a number of years at Bell Telephone in Michigan as a supervisor and later, in Lansdale, was employed as a store clerk.
She fully encouraged her children and grandchildren and was happy for their successes in academic and sporting events. At Elm Terrace Gardens, Mrs. Corrado joyfully mentored new residents and helped acclimate them to their surroundings. She enjoyed participating in daily activities at Elm Terrace Gardens, loved playing bingo and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are three children, John A. Corrado Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Nancy K. Calafati of Harleysville and Steven R. Corrado and his wife, Alane, of Lansdale; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Kay Hall, and her husband, Robert of Traverse City.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Betsy Corrado, and two sisters, Mary Faron and Edith Robbins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Aug. 21, in Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Stanislaus Parish Center, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446.

Please accept my sincere sympathy. Helen and I had a very special bond. We graduated together in '40, worked at Bell together, and had an apt together when we were sent to Midland temporarily in the '40's. In the early 50's Ray and I visited your mom & dad, and had a real good time. Whenever she came back to T.C. we got together for lunch, usually with some of our other friends so she could see as many friends as possible when she was here. She always enjoyed our class reunions and wished she could have made more of them, but healthwise it wasn't possible, so I would keep her posted on it. I had just sent her a letter a week or so ago, which hopefully she received. Your loss is my loss to. Sincerely, Margaret Antony Dobson
