Jeanne was a wonderful mental health nurse to all the clients she served and the agency I work at Le'Chris Health Systems. I will miss her joking and calling reminders. She was very smart and quick witted. She will be missed most definitely as she was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. I will miss her telling you exactly what she thought whether you liked it or not, I had an appreciation for her personality as she will be a huge loss for the mental health field and it will be hard to fill her shoes*

What a terrible loss to your family and to psychiatric services in eastern NC. I enjoyed knowing Jeanne when we both worked at PC Mental Health, and particularly loved her dry, pithy sense of humor. My prayers are with you all.

My mom told me of the passing of Jeanne. I am so sorry. Although Jeanne and I never saw each other after I left SLHS in '70, I will always remember Jeanne as a good friend and one that I share some fond memories of. Especially our fun times on SLHS girls' basketball team, french class, class trips, etc. Love knowing that Jeanne was a nurse...so am I. Please know I am thinking of you and will keep you in my thougths and prayers.

As one of Jeanne's fellow classmates(SLHS, 1972), I was very sad to hear of her passing. I remember Jeanne as being reserved, very friendly, with both an inner and outer beauty. I am also a graduate of SLHS (class of '75) so Jeanne was just ahead of me. She and her siblings were in many classes with my cousins...Don, Neil, Ray and Ralph Williams. Jeanne and I worked for Pitt Mental Health , I was there for 13 years before joining the medical school. She loved life and was always a champion for the underdog. A group of girls from the center got together and had a "girl's weekend" at the beach. I have pictures of Jeanne dancing in my house at the beach, that is how I will always remember her. I have learned of this great loss while on vacation in WNC. I keep up with back home, going online at Kinston.com. Jeanne was in my first grade class and in many other classes along our way thru SLHS. I remember our birthdays were very close to each other. She was always so excited about family vacations and being able to spend time in the mountains or at the beach with those so dear to her.
