Rosa Booker Obituary

Rosa Mae Booker, 55, of Roanoke, departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2008. She was born December 14, 1952 in Roanoke, Va. Rosa was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresia A. Booker; granddaughter, Kayla A. Griffin; mother, Rosa A. Booker and brother, William C. Booker. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Booker and Louis A. (Cozzette) Booker; four grandchildren, Christopher White, Daveon L. Booker, Kyjuan Brown and Rashaad Wormack, all of Roanoke, Va.; four brothers, Howard A. (Jessamyn) Booker, Allen R. (Liana) Booker, James Booker, all of Roanoke, Va. and Jimmy Leon (Pat) Saunders, of Culpepper, Va.; two sisters, Jamie (Frank) Stayrook, of York, Pa. and Missy Ann Booker, of Roanoke, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.
