Joe and my dad were born and raised together on nearby farms in Willis, Va. I only got to know Joe this pass year with the illness and passing of my dad. Joe was a GOD Send and ANGEL to us. He offered so much help, care and concern to us during this time and I was so touched and grateful to have had a chance to get to know him and will never forget the kindness he showed to us. Dear Frances and Family,
Our hearts are so deeply saddened over hearing of the passing of the one you loved so much and our dear friend Joe Reed. It surely came as a shock as the last time we spoke with him, he said he was doing real well.

If a person ever became a friend of Joe's, you were a friend for life and he had many, many friends in Martinsville who will treasure memories of him.

Joe had such a sweet & tender heart. I'll never forget how he choked back tears as Jane, Edith and I were getting ready to leave after a wonderful visit with him. He had shown us all around the farm that he loved. And he always spoke so lovingly of you Frances, his girls and their husbands, his son, and of course all of his wonderful grandchildren. Joe deeply loved his family and his friends too. We feel very blessed to have had this special man as our friend.

Please know you are in our prayers for the LORD's strengthening and comfort. May He grant you peace as only He can give.

Love,
Sue & Roger Love

Aunt Frankie, Karen, Becky, Margaret and Mike, (and all the "youngin's",
Gosh, I can't believe we're all grown up and moved on in the world. I'll always remember the old days at Grandma's and Grandpa's and how Uncle Joe was the first to have had enough and start rounding up the troups! Those were some of the best days and that's how I will always remember him. My thoughts are with you at this time and thank you all for being such a wonderful part of my life.
Much love,
Robbie and family (Tom, Hannah and John)
