I'm now 20 years old and can still remember when I was 4 or 5 and Lois was my Sunday School teacher at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren. I'm still an active member there today with my family, and I know we all remember the fondest things of her. Often times during the worship hour I would sneak over and sit with her in the pew. She always had fun little books for me, and made learning about God hands on and fun, though with a firm impression. As our youth group got older, we always went caroling during the Christmas season, and made the ones who could no longer make it to church a priority to go see and it was such a blessing to see her when we went to her house. She was amazed at seeing us 'all grown up' and it was wonderful to see her face again. Sadly, that was the last time I saw her, though she's been mentioned over the years. I'll miss her greatly, and I hope one day I can tell her what a lasting impression she made on me. We can now rejoice in the fact that she's with the One she taught us all so lovingly about, and I pray for peace for the family. God Bless.
