Barbara & Kidd Family
I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie. I went to school with Ronnie & Kelly in Floyd and I never knew Ronnie lived in Goodview where I live. He was a very nice person and if I can help you get past this time in your life , let me know.

I will always remember the night Ronnie and I stood on the Flight deck of the Kitty Hawk while we were in port in the Phillipines back in 1967. I was a "tin can" sailor and Ronnie was on a little bigger ship. We had a lot of fun on liberty in Olongapo and we talked a lot about our Floyd High School years. I regret deeply that that was the last time we were together. After the war we just lost contact and although I never forgot that day and evening in the Phillipines, I so wish we had renewed our friendship. My sincere condolence to Ronnies family . We all have lost a true friend.

Mahala, Kelley, Lawrence Lee & families,
I was so sorry to hear about Ronnie, and did not know about Earl Nelson until I read Ronnie's obituary. Of course I have not seen any of you for a long time, but I remember a lot about growing up across the road from your house. We always loved to come to your house, play under the back porch, ride bikes down the road. Of course Ronnie & William had many adventures of their own. My kids all know about the skunk story (You'll have to ask William about that one). That is one of their favorite stories about their Uncle Bill as he is called now. I think I remember them breaking a few windows too. I also remember the winter of 1960 when we had all that snow. William and Ronnie built a fort and a cave out of the snow that had drifted into our front yard. We had snow there until spring.
Those are just a few of the memories I have of growing up across the road from all of you. I'm really sorry that I am unable to come to visitation. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
