Rinord Frank Broughman Jr.

Rinord Frank (Buck) Broughman Jr., 73, of Low Moor, Va., died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Va. Born April 25, 1935, in Alleghany County, Va., he was a son of the late Rinord Frank Broughman Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Hall Broughman Callaghan. He served in the United States Marines. He retired from SEMCO, after 25 years of employment, as a sheet metal worker and belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Union # 100. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Brown Broughman, in November of 1997; four sisters, Barbara June Broughman Kemper, Betty Hawkins, Marie Dry, and Geneva Angle; and two brothers, Clarence Ray Broughman and Jessie Callaghan. He is survived by a son, David Wayne Broughman, and wife, Bobbie, of Lothian, Md.; a very special friend, Loretta Quesenberry, of Low Moor; two granddaughters, Melissa Woods and Kelsey Broughman; two greatgrandsons, Shane Michael Woods Jr. and Seth Daniel Woods; three brothers, Richard Broughman, and wife, Miriam, of Madison, Ga., Ralph Broughman and wife, Nellie, of Chesapeake, and Norville Callaghan and wife, Susan, of Low Moor; three sisters, Mary Lou Kemper, and husband, Woody, of Fincastle, Brenda Milton, of Altavista, and Jewel Angle and husband, Sonny, of Low Moor; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margorie and Kyle Ferris, of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Florence Loretta Broughman, of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, in Roanoke, with the Reverend Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow.
