Arnold served our church, Blue Ridge Baptist Church, in Vinton, for about 12 years as Deacon, Song Leader, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher. and Youth Director. During this time we got to know him well, and we can truly say he was a man of God and a faithful servant of the Lord and a friend to all who knew him. During this time, I never had a question or concern about the music he chose or what he taught, he was a student of the word, and faithful to the task at hand. Our family loved him dearly and also his wife and children. Our daughter, Angela, adored Janet, Todd and Suzzane. Margaret and Arnold were a shining example to all and we appreciate their stand for Christ. We were deeply saddened to hear of the loss here, but truly this is heaven's gain. We look forward to seeing Arnold again. God bless you Margaret, and children, we will all be home soon. Keep looking for Christ return, He promised He would come back, and His Word is true. We are praying for each of you. We are thankful for our time together, serving the Lord. Thank you for your faithfulness. Phil. 1:3 is the verse I think of when I think of Arnold Jones.

Rev. Jimmy, Audrey; Margaret and family:
God called and Arnold was ready! His soul was quickly and quietly ushered back to God by some of the Holy Angels. What a wonderful and comforting assurance. A very special resident has left this world and he will be missed by all who knew him. His work here on earth has been completed and he is now enjoying the perfection of heaven. May each of us follow Arnold's example and be ready when God calls our name.

Dear Margaret and family members: We shall always have very special and enduring memories of Arnold (and you) in the class I used to teach (Abundant Life) at First Baptist. Both Dean and I hold a very special place in our hearts for both Arnold and you. Both were true friends, happy in the Lord, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need; speak a word of comfort to those needing comfort; provide wise counsel to those seeking counsel; give spiritual direction in pointing people to the Lord, and were always faithful to the Lord, His church and people. Such dedication is a rarity, and the loss will be felt in many lives. Both Arnold and you have an enduring influence on the lives of so many people. Though God chose to take Arnold at a "young" age, He does all things well, and in His eternal plan we rest our case with Him. Do know, that during this most difficult transition for you and your family, the Hall's will hold you before His throne of grace daily. We love you. Ted & Dean
