My sincere sympathy goes out to Alice's family. I had the privilege to know Alice since about 1968. We were fellow members of the Roanoke Chapter, National Railway Historical Society. If you knew Alice, you know she loved trains! I was fortunate to have worked with her on the many railroad excursions and other projects through the years.
Alice knew how to have fun! She was one of the most outgoing, and giving, people I have ever known. I also know she was a woman of deep faith. She loved her God, her husband John, and all her family. She never meet a stranger. It has been some time now since we have been able to see her smiling face and share good times with her. But I look forward, with the hope that is within us, to see her again some day. I thank God for having known her, and my prayers go out to all her family for their great loss.
