This has been a long struggle for all of you but that struggle is over and God has given you rest. Max was so glad to have been able to visit with Norman in the fall. Though not close family friends, we have had many connections to your family over the past forty years, especially through the friendship of Tammy and Lori over these many years and Buck's work in the Sheriff's Department. Our family recognized the character of Norman and his long service to our community. You have been and remain in our prayers.

I could talk for hours about Norman and it would all be good. I will say this much - Norman reinvented the word "respect" as he give it a much greater meaning. And Norman was the fairest man I ever met - he considered everyone else and their situation first. Norman's legacy will continue on through his beautiful children as he and Betty instilled all these characteristics in them as they grew up. Buck is a great Police Officer and he had a great teacher and mentor - his dad. Norman would tell me that he rode around with Buck the night before - he said that he needed to know that Buck was okay and has mastered his learning. My heart goes out to Norman's family as they are all so special - the type of folks that makes great neighbors. Norman, I will always remember you and you will be greatly missed.
