Walter Lynn Underwood, 44, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services' Chapel, Roanoke, Va., 540-562-1182.

walter was a kind soul.i grep up with him as a kid,he was always mowing yards to help neighbors,more kids these days need to be like walter,and i know walter loved his grandpa,walter when you see your grandpa tell him i said hi,willie always said walter kept him in laughter,although i have not seen walter in years i will miss him,bonnie and tony im sorry for your loss i know it has not been that long since walter sr. died i can feel your pain,its not easy to lose 2 so close together,just remember god wanted them more than we did,god bless your family bonnie,bruce,todd and terry from penmar wish you the best bonnie and tony

I was Walter's nurse. He was such a couraggeous man and a kind and gentle soul. He so much wanted to be a part of this life. He was always thinking of others. He will be missed greatly.
