Not sure what to say?

August 19, 2009

I was very fortunate to have worked with Phillip in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and in the courts of Montgomery County for seventeen years. He was an excellent attorney who served the people with skill, energy and commitment. He loved his family, church, Virginia Tech and Montgomery County. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy of service will live on. J. Patrick Graybeal

Dearest Karen, Arthur, Jennifer, Lee, Alex and Inessa

I was so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. Bob and I were out of town for the weekend and only returned last night. I did not receive the news until this morning. If I had known earlier, I would be there with you today.
I feel I have also lost a brother. Phil was special and the fun times we had growing up will be one of my fondest memories of him. As an adult, he was always there to listen and had a kind word for everyone he met. He is now with our maker and his parents and will be checking on us every day. There will not be a day when I will not think of him with love. Mother had a high respect and admiration for him far beyond his professional life. She always spoke of him with love as well.
Please know that I am here for all of you whenever you need me. I am just an email away and definitely on the phone. God keep you all in the palm of his hand and guide you through this most trying of times.

I miss him!
Love, Heidi

Phillip Keith is truly one of the nicest attorneys that I've had the pleasure of knowing in my many years of practicing law in southwest Virginia. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Phil Keith was one of the most pleasant and kind patients that I have ever had the priviledge of nursing. His

My condolences to Karen and family. What a valiant battle he fought.

Phil always took time to see me or answer my phone calls when I covered the police and court beat for New River newspapers, even when he could not tell me anything, as he respected the job I was trying to do. I still have a note he wrote me saying as much sduring a particularly intense case.

What a wonderful man, devoted to the law, his community, his political party, his family and of course his Hokies.

May he rest in peace.

We are truly saddened at the loss that Phil's passing brings to all who knew him. His pure spirit and open friendliness marked him as an unusual man, one whose integrity was second to none.

May each family member know the peace and comfort that comes only from God. Hold to your special memories in the days to come.

I never met this man but he sounds like he was a very fine person. Beautiful article on him in the Times. I know he will be missed greatly by the entire community.

To Karen and Family,
It has been a long road to where you are today, Philip was a special person who touched many lives in the years gone by. He will continue to do so in death as his memory lives on in each of you.
I worked with Philip as a member of the Democratic Party when I lived in Montgomery County many years ago, we had some unforgetable times working to get our candidates elected to office.
God be with each of you during this difficult time.
