Mary Mabry Obituary

Mary B. Mabry, 78, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009. Born September 22, 1930, and raised in Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Dick S. and Bessie B. Bowling. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mack Mabry. She was a member of the Greyhound Retirees and retired from K-Mart. Surviving are her sister, Evelyn B. Sheppek; two daughters, Elizabeth M. Ransom and Nancy M. Winters and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Mary H. Barnett and William M. Hayslett; greatgrandchildren, Zachary A. Barnett, Nathan M. Hayslett, Abigail E. Fitzgerald; and stepgrandson, Corey A. Mabry and children. The graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August, 24, 2009, at Evergreen Burial Park with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roanoke Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home. Nancy, Weeping May Endure For A Night But Joy Cometh In The Morning. I would like to to express my Deepest Sympathy in the passing of your Mother, Sister and our Dear Friend Ms. Mary. She will be surely missed. May we all find strength in the coming days.
