Mary B. Mabry

Mary B. Mabry, 78, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009. Born September 22, 1930, and raised in Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Dick S. and Bessie B. Bowling. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mack Mabry. She was a member of the Greyhound Retirees and retired from K-Mart. Surviving are her sister, Evelyn B. Sheppek; two daughters, Elizabeth M. Ransom and Nancy M. Winters and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Mary H. Barnett and William M. Hayslett; greatgrandchildren, Zachary A. Barnett, Nathan M. Hayslett, Abigail E. Fitzgerald; and stepgrandson, Corey A. Mabry and children. The graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August, 24, 2009, at Evergreen Burial Park with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roanoke Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home.
